Greenable Woodbridge Museum of the Future
The Superintendent is pleased to report that on June 12, 2010, the Greenable Woodbridge Museum of the Future, located inside the Woodbridge Mall, had their ribbon cutting ceremony. Students from the Agriscience Technology, Building Trades, Carpentry, Graphic Design: Commercial Art and Illustration and HVAC career majors attended the ceremony along with Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac and Freeholder Deputy Director Ronald Rios. The students in Graphic Design: Commercial Art and Illustration designed posters that are displayed at the museum. The Carpentry students built a recycled reception desk. The Building Trade students built two, eight-foot by four-foot living walls using recycled wood from school bleachers. The HVAC students designed an intricate hydroponic system that transports water throughout the living walls. Finally, the Agri-science Technology students put various plants in the living walls that are conducive to hydroponic growing. The posters, reception desk and living walls are on display at the Woodbridge Mall until June 2011.
