MCVTS - Piscataway

Principal's Corner

Welcome to the Piscataway Campus of the Middlesex County Vocational Technical Schools. We are different than the usual comprehensive high school. Our school offers a total educational program appropriate to the development needs unique to students either going on to college or on for employment.

High school is a time of intense learning, a time when students must deal with exciting intellectual pursuits in a world that is changing as fast as they are. The staff at our school recognizes the unique needs of all the students and is well trained in dealing with the needs and behavior of all.

The instructional program is departmentalized to emphasize high achievement for all students—both in college prep and general academics. Career majors are clustered into Schools-Within-A-School and provide students with cross content learning experiences, projects and mini courses that result in increased student interest and high level achievement.

The Piscataway Campus currently has the School of Automotive Technology, the School of Culinary Arts, the School of Cosmetology/Hairstyling, the School of Career Development, the School of Business and Technology and the School of Design and Fabrication.

The students participate in interscholastic sports, Skills U.S.A. as well as many other extra curricular activities. Students assist the community with service projects and participate in fund raising for worthy causes.

The staff at the Piscataway Campus is committed to providing successful experiences for our students. We encourage good attendance, support student activities, provide challenging curriculum and help in any way to ensure that the students have a successful education.

I am extremely proud of the successes and achievements of both my students and my staff.
