Physical Science (5 periods, 5 credits) 

Physical Science is a course designed for all students that provides a background in the discipline of physic and chemistry. The core of the course focuses on the following: the changing universe with matter and energy undergoing physical, chemical, and nuclear transformation; the natural laws as they apply to the structure and behavior of matter; the development of problem-solving skills, decision making and inquiry skills, formulation of usable questions and hypotheses; planning experiments; and laboratory safety. Basic principles of earth science are also covered.
