    PROGRAM SYLLABUS

    Welcome ACRT students. This four year program is organized into units covering various areas of the Auto Collision Repair field in order to prepare students for entry level positions upon completion of the program. Emphasis will be placed on job safety, academic achievement, and good attitude towards the instructor and fellow students across all grade levels.

    This program stresses not only on safety and good behavior of students but also basic job operations, and skills necessary to analyze, repair or replace, and refinish parts and automobiles.  Upon completion of the program students should have a thorough understanding of tools,materials, and safely operate available equipment used in the ACRT industry.

    CLASS/SHOP RULES & REGULATIONS

    The following are expectations of ALL students. Failure to do so will result in grade reduction and possible removal of the program 

    1.        Students must come to class fully prepared for the classroom as well as shop floor (i.e. writing tools, notebooks, safety equipment, locks, and other materials assigned by instructor).

    2.        Students are expected to submit all assignments on time and are fully responsible for makeup work.

    3.        Students are only allowed shop related equipment. NO liquids, drugs or weapons of any kind (E.g. knifes, guns, lighters, etc).

    4.        Students are expected to take care of all class and shop floor equipment as per curriculum, and maintain a clean working environment at all times, especially when waiting for shop assignments. Cleaning equipment will be provided.

    5.        Students must at all times refrain from sitting in shop cars unless approved by the instructor.

    6.        Students must comply with all policies set by the Middlesex County Vocational School system. (E.g. written passes at ALL TIMES AND NO ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT!

    7.        Students referred for behavior modification are subject to consequence set by instructor.

    8.        Students are expected to behave and speak appropriately at all times.

    9.        Students are to report any accidents or equipment malfunction to instructor as soon as possible.

    10.     Students must lock their valuables in their school given lockers and return any property that is not of their belongings to instructor as soon as possible.
