What is the NTHS?

The National Technical Honor Society currently serves approximately 100,000 active members and nearly a million since its inception in 1984. Over $250,000 in scholarships is awarded annually to its members. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. For over 30 years, NTHS has been the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.

    How Do I Apply?

We invite students to complete a full membership application process to the NTHS be to be evaluated. We will call the top 14 students in the junior class who are good, honest, and responsible student-citizens. To be considered for admittance, students must first pass academic, as well as career shop, guidelines, to be recommended by staff member(s) of Piscataway Vocational & Technical High School and have participated in school/community service and clubs. Once students have met those guidelines, a letter – with detailed membership application requirements – will be provided.

    How are Applicants Accepted?

Through the double-blind format, meaning the selection committee does not see student names, the evaluation committee will look over the full application.
