Abdullah Shareef was born in Morristown, NJ, on September 5, 1998. His family finally settled down in Edison in which he has lived for 11 years. As a child Abdullah refused to play with Lego robots thinking it would be boring. Ironically seven years later he is now an avid programmer, is a part robotics team, his computer science club and hopes to pursue Computer Science in college. His constant community service efforts earned him the role of Interact president and he is also a part of the Safety Ambassadors. He believes giving back to his community is a huge responsibility of those who are able and loves to volunteer. His other interests include, teaching, playing soccer, reading, and debating.
Sonali Patel is a Civil Engineering Student at the Middlesex County Academy. She hopes to go into the medical field, either as doctor or as a biomedical engineer as this is where her passion for improving the lives of others and for the sciences can merge. She is an active part of the student body as a member of National Honors Society, Spanish Honor Society, the Academy Quiz Bowl team, Red Cross Club, Safety Ambassador Program and the DNA Initiative Research Club. When she’s not stressing out about school work, she enjoys reading (her current favorite author is Gillian Flynn) and singing.
