  • Rohan Mehra
    Edison, NJ


    Rohan Mehra is a senior at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies, studying in the Electrical and Computer Engineering major. He decided to combine his passion for biology and chemistry with his experience in engineering and pursue biomedical engineering in college. A goal of his is to develop nanotechnology that can provide medical services from within the human body. His medical interests motivated him to volunteer at the AristaCare Rehabilitation Center at Cedar Oaks. He intends to work hard towards a future where technology drives medicine forward to aid many of the people that are suffering today.


  • Julie Pirro
    Metuchen, NJ


    Julie Pirro is a student at the Edison Academy currently taking electrical engineering classes. In college, she is looking to major in Music Technology. In school, she is president of NHS, and takes part in the Interact club and Safety Ambassadors. Outside of school, she plays softball for Metuchen High School and the Edison Angels, plays bass in Metuchen’s Jazz band, and is a member of Somerset County 4-H. She also works at the New Jersey Guitar and Bass Center in Edison.


  • Malavika Vivek
    Edison, NJ


    Malavika Vivek is a senior at the Middlesex County Academy and the co-founder of national nonprofit Girls Make Apps, an initiative that has taught hundreds of girls and women from middle school to college to code. In addition to her nonprofit, Malavika serves as the Director of Programs to nonprofit ProjectCSGirls and manages numerous national and international chapters that work to bridge the gender gap in tech. Malavika is also a 2017 Stanford SHE++ #include fellow and two-time Siemens Competition Semifinalist for her machine learning and cancer research. She plans to start her own tech company and expand her nonprofit in the future.
