Evan Carmody is a senior at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies, studying mechanical engineering. In school, Evan is co-president of Student Council, captain of the Science Olympiad team, and a senior editor of the school yearbook. He is part of the peer mentorship program and enjoys giving back to his school by volunteering at various school events for prospective freshmen, such as open houses and information sessions. Outside of school, Evan is captain of his robotics team and plays ultimate frisbee. In his free time, Evan likes to experiment with 3D printing and programming, spend time with his cats, and play video games. He plans to study mechanical engineering and computer science and hopes to pursue a career in the field of robotics.
Abigail was born in Guanxi, China, and adopted when she was 14 months old. She is currently studying mechanical engineering at the Edison Academy, and will major in either mechanical or nuclear engineering in college. Abigail will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Navy ROTC scholarship, or the United States Naval Academy if accepted. She plans to commission as a surface warfare officer in the US Navy after graduation. Outside of school, Abigail enjoys volunteering, tutoring, exercising, sailing, and playing the guitar, drums, and piano.
