The East Brunswick Campus of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools continues to foster an educational learning environment that prepares our students for the academic and career education they need to be productive and prepared in the 21st century.
Our school offers honors and college preparatory academic classes to prepare them for post-secondary school or to become an active member of the workforce. The East Brunswick Campus’ vocational and technical career majors encompass college and career ready programs. Our programs use state of the art technology and the most up to date computer programs to help foster the education they receive in our career majors. Our majors comprise of: Agriscience Technology, Architecture Technology, Automotive Technology, Baking, Green Construction, Cosmetology, Green Program of Study, Machine Tool Technology, and Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. We are pleased to announce a new career major: Pre-Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing. The students will focus on multiple areas: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Programmable Logistical Controls and Manufacturing. In addition to our technical programs, we also have a successful Arts program consisting of: Dance, Graphic Design: Commercial Art and Illustration, Digital Filmmaking, Multimedia Art and Design and Theatre. Another factor that makes our school successful is the articulation agreements with colleges and universities. Students can receive college credit from the following universities: New Jersey Institute of Technology, Delaware Valley College, Stockton University, Middlesex County College, Burlington County College, and Ohio Technical College
The East Brunswick Campus is a proud member of the NJSIAA, the Greater Middlesex Conference and the New Jersey Technical Athletic Council. We currently participate in soccer, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, and softball.
We have a myriad of activities to involve our students. The Interact Club in a club sponsored by our area Rotary Group which involves students in community activities. Some other clubs in our school are: Math Club, Yearbook Club, GSA, Poetry Club, and the Environmental Club to name a few. We also participate in organizations that involve our students FFA, Skills USA, Thespian Honor Society, and the National Technical Honor Society are proudly participated in our school.
Our staff sets high expectations for our students. The teachers, academic and career, are involved in professional development to keep abreast of new trends in education. We also embrace professional learning communities on our school. Our academic teachers follow a rigorous curriculum and are already preparing to transition our students for the Partnership for Assessment or Readiness for College and Careers. This assessment replaced the High School Proficiency Assessment which is aligning to the common core standards.
We are proud to announce the East Brunswick campus receiving the 2015 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School which recognizes school for their ability to reduce facilities cost, promote healthy school and educate the benefits of sustainability.
