Updated Special Course Offering
Licensed Master Plumber Renewal Continuing Education
This course is designed for licensed plumbers who need to renew their licenses, as defined in PL 96 c. 158. Approved by the Board of Master Plumbers, the Five Hour Re-certification Program for New Jersey Licensed Master Plumbers. Participants must be Licensed Master Plumbers.

Adult Evening School
If you want short-term career skills training, Adult Evening School offers more than one-hundred fifty courses during Fall, Winter and Spring Semesters. You can take a course in agriscience, automotive tech, commercial art, computer applications, computer assisted drafting, electrical trades, construction trades, health and safety education and welding, to name a few. Certificate Programs are designed for individuals interested in changing careers as well as those who are looking to change classifications or acquire new skills within a career area. Successful completers of a sequence of courses earn a certificate and in some cases credit hours earned may be applied to a registered apprenticeship program. The programs offered are Electrical Technology, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology, Manicuring, Plumbing Technology and Skin Care Specialist. Registered Apprenticeship is an effective combination of structured on-the-job training and related technical instruction at no cost to the employer. This nationally recognized, post-secondary training is competency based and/or time-based and industry-driven for a vast range of occupations. Any employer can sponsor employees who work on a full time basis. Apprenticeship Training Programs range from one to six years in duration, depending upon occupation and job title. Apprentices receive a minimum of 2000 hours per year of on-the-job training by the sponsor. At Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools, apprentices attend related instruction classes two to three evenings per week from September through March. Apprenticeable classifications include Business and Office Occupations, Construction Trades and Manufacturing Industries. For more information about Apprenticeship please call Dawn M. Adult Education is also a Customized Training provider. We provide on-campus, off-campus, and on-site training for firms and organizations, which require customized or specialized training or testing for employees or members. A class, course program, or workshop can be developed to address a client’s needs. Performance and written testing is available and safety and skill training is not limited to courses listed in our catalog. For more information about Customized Training, call Dawn M. If you are interested in a career in the health care industry, the Practical Nursing program is an excellent choice. The program has been nationally recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for having a 100% passing rate on the National Council Licensure Examination. This outstanding achievement supports the overall rigor of the practical nursing program and the dedication of an outstanding faculty. Practical Nursing is offered at the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools' - Piscataway Campus. Students may apply to take the 15 month day-time or the two-year evening program. The rigorous Practical Nursing curriculum includes instruction in Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Behavioral/Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Contemporary Health Issues, Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing I, Medical Surgical Nursing II, Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrical Nursing, and Pediatric Nursing. To become a Licensed Practical Nurse, you must have a High School diploma or G.E.D., successfully complete the Practical Nursing program and pass a licensing exam.
